In the streets of Havana, Griffith found styles dating from the late 19th century onward: Eclecticism, Neo-Gothic, Edwardian, Art Noveau, Art Deco, and mid-century Modernism—all transformed by the impact of the Cuban Revolution on January 1, 1959.

Released by the Letras Cubanas Publishing House, Mirada de Curador gathers texts written over the past six years by Corina Matamoros, chief curator of the museum.
