Curator Juan A. Martínez examines Cuban art and identity, Carlos Varela tours California, and an Absolut Art award goes to Coco Fusco.
December 27, 2012In 2004, five former professional dancers joined forces to create a new dance troupe: Habana Compás Dance. Combining flamenco, contemporary dance, and Afro-Cuban elements with wildly original percussion artistry, their high-energy performances captivate audiences on the island and abroad.
